Blogs from Lit.

At the beginning of the year, we all had to write down these weekly exercises in a journal, which for me would frequently get lost or torn. However, Mrs. Hunt came up with a more efficient idea. She started having us do blogs which were due every Sunday at midnight. The only problem, was her second assigned task of commenting on other blogs. Many people would not do their blog until the last minute, making it hard to find someone to leave comments on.  Also, it appears some people would alter or delete their blogs and comments would disappear. I must admit that I do not like journals or blogs at all in anyway, but I can see why our teacher assigned them, and I also know that they are beneficial. I think she should keep doing blogs, but top the commenting part.

Bucket List

The things I would like to do before I die, would be to first climb a huge mountain like Everest because that seems really exciting. Secondly, I would like to sky dive from really high up so that the fall is very long; when I see other people do it on the internet or in movies it looks so cool, so I’ve got to try that.  Also, I want to drive a Bugatti Veyron as fast at it will go and race it or take it on the Autobahn, because those cars are amazing and are the best things on the planet.  I really wanna pilot a plane to some place across the world. Lastly, before I die, I want to go into space and see the earth from way up there.

Bullying

Bullying, even though it is hard to accept, cannot be stopped. It can be prevented for a while and in certain places, but not stopped throughout our lives. People are bullied and abused everyday, and not just here. Bullying happens all over the world. However, there are some things which can make the area you live in a little better. Teachers are one of the best, if not the most, important factors in stopping the bullying problem. They break up fights, report students, and try to keep things in order to provide safety for students at school. Teachers are doing the best they can to bring all the trouble makers at school to justice. Students should utilize the teachers for their own benefit and for the sake of others, by reporting instances of bullying to them.

Parents can only do so much to help with bullying. Since they are mostly at work or at home, their assistance is severely limited. Every now and then they might call the school to inform teachers that their child or a neighbor’s child has been bullied or abused and help in that way. In spite of all of that, the most crucial factor to prevent people from being bullied is each of us. The way we treat others will effect the way they treat people they might know. If we treat other students with respect, then they will be more likely to do so too.  One of most important sayings to this day is, “Do un to the others, as you would have them to do to you.” You don’t have to make someone feel bad or put someone down, and if you know anyone who has been bullied, then try to help them through it or let some one else who can help know.

Cyber-bullying is also stupid and wrong.  People have had their reputations destroyed or have even taken their own lives because of how horribly they have been abused by others online.  It can spread rumors and lies faster than any word of mouth and supplies information to other people who may not even know the victim personally.  The punishment for cyber-bullying should be swift and meaningful, to act as a lesson to others.  It should include some form of punishment, as well as counseling and probation.  Bullies, no matter what kind, can be stopped by you, so try and help make a change.

What adults have forgotten

I believe that being the age I am right now is going to be the most memorable, because of the amount of fun we all have and how we spend so much of our free time chilling and sleeping. Most adults would say that relaxing and having fun are a waste of time or even bad, but all of these things symbolize what we do at this age. It’s true that we all should be more focused on school and things that will happen later down the road, but that’s not what we will want to remember about our teen years. Going out places with people and doing stupid things are what will create memories that many adults have long forgotten. Once you get to be adults and parents, your focus will shift mainly to work and providing and not the fun that should come with it. I guess what I will remember most about being this age is the freedom to do many things, like simply having fun, that we won’t have time for later as adults.

Teaching the class a skill I know

If I had to teach the class a skill, I would show the class how to get better at sport they are doing. No matter what you do, football, baseball, or basketball, all sports require practice and dedication. You can’t just step on the field, or court and expect to do great. You need to practice your skills at that sport everyday if possible. If you never brush up your skills in that particular sport, then don’t be surprised when you start to suck at it down the road. Everything you do in life requires you to have a good knowledge of it or experience in order to do great at it. Practicing helps you polish your skills and techniques to the point where you are dominant in your sport. I could teach you how to get the most out of your sport through schedules and other techniques in order to get your head into the game.

Annoying Grammar…

Well, I don’t know about all of you guys, but for the longest time I had a hard time with the whole i before e thing.  It used to bother the heck out of me and even after I learned how to get it, I still sometimes forget the rule.  Also, I hate, HATE, the she and I rule.  I forget it all the time and when someone corrects me while I’m talking after I accidentally say me and her, it gets bad.  So whatever you do, if I say that, just go with it, because everyone else says that too.  I will, every now and then forget to uppercase the I’s in my sentences as well, but it’s not that bad.

assistant

I think that if i had the option between all of the famous people above, I would pick Steve Jobs. The reason I would choose him is because he is very smart and can possibly help me with school work and help me study. I would ask him how he became so successful in life and give me tips to get as wealthy and famous as him. He is a very smart, rich, and hard working guy that would defiantly be an awesome assistant.

New ending

I think that after the old ending of Romeo and Juliet that there should be a new and better ending instead of both of them dying. I think that after they make it to the tomb that they were supposed to go. I think that they should end up leaving together and not killing themselves. I believe they will make it out alive and convince their families to agree on peace and happiness. They should get married and have a family and live peaceful lives.

The option to age

If I had the option to age ten years in a single moment, I would not choose it.  The life I’m living now would be completely ruined if, I aged 10 years.  Thinking about it, I would be faced with the everyday struggle of being an adult and having to deal with taxes, jobs, and insurance.  I used to think getting older was going to be the best thing for me because I would have more freedom.  I was so wrong though.  As a high school student, I have very little to worry about besides how my grades are.  Being ten years older would be way worse in my opinion.  It would take away the life I have now of just hanging with friends, doing fun things and only trying to do well in school.  However, I’m not saying that being an adult would have no advantages.  Being an adult allows you to experience so much more of life and all that goes on in the world.  I guess all I’m saying is that for the moment, being 15 is where I want to be.  I’m aging at just the right pace and see no reason to make it go any faster.  So, like I said, having the option to age ten years would have it’s ups and downs, but I would rather stay the way I am right now.

My Childhood

The best childhood memory I have is the time when I learned how to ride my bike.  I’m not sure why, but that seems like such a ground breaking moment in my life.  I was about 7 years old when my dad first let me go and I was able to keep my balance after a few tries.  As I picked up speed and turned a corner, I felt the wind on my face, which made me feel free.  I peddled really hard and after I learned how to balance, I started to ride my bike all over the place.  I guess it may have been the great feeling of accomplishment that made me so happy that day, in the huge parking lot of that closed down building.  Or maybe knowing I could now do something that I had been a little nervous about when I was younger.  No matter how you slice it, it felt amazing and that makes it, hands down, the best childhood memory I’ve ever had.
